The first thing that drew me to this picture was the faded brown colours, I think it works really well that it's darker at the front and slowly fades to wear the light hits the trees, I don't think it would have looked as good in full colour because you wouldn't notice the change in colour so much.
I think the tree in the foreground could have given more impact if it was straighter because it kind of makes the picture look a bit lop sided.
I like the way the way the roots on the ground are curving off in all directions so it ties in with the title.
I hope this was ok.
