Cold Winter Nights

Vision:

I do love macro photography, and I love the detail you can achieve from it. This really does show great vision. The eye lads through really well.

Originality:

I have to say its not terribly original, despite my liking the photo. I have seen a million stalks before and I am sure I will see a million more. The tones however do pull this back, and the back lighting really pulls that bit further.

Technique:

Macro is not as easy as it appears to be, and I feel you caught this just right. With just the right depth of field to!

Impact:

With the striking back lighting and the tones, this really stands above and beyond a lot of the recent submissions that are filtering through the DA pages.
